How We Got To Where We Are Today
In September of 2020, Sarah & Jason Pielhop purchased Wieting Funeral Home, Inc. from Fuzzy and Kathy Wieting. They may have changed the name to Pielhop Funeral Homes, but Sarah & Jason are continuing the legacy of care, compassion, and service that has been a constant here for many decades in communities of Brillion and Reedsville
and throughout Northeast Wisconsin.

Our History That Has Helped Guide and Shape Us to Who We Are Today
Luecker Funeral Home was built in 1938 in Brillion. For 18 years, the Luecker Family served the community until Fred L. Luecker retired. The Wieting Funeral Home legacy began in 1953 when Merlin A. Wieting, Sr. and Harvey Techman began operating the Techman-Wieting Funeral Home in Hilbert. In 1945, the Cooperative bought Shimon Funeral Home and retained Edward Shimon as their funeral director. The funeral home building was retained until 1959 when the Co-op built the new funeral home on the same location as the previous building.
In 1956, Merlin Sr. and Evelyn Wieting moved to Brillion and purchased the Luecker Funeral Home and Furniture Store from the Luecker Family, starting the original Wieting Funeral Home. In 1968, a building expansion project began, encompassing the Luecker Chapel built in 1938, to the funeral home it is today. In 1972, Wieting Funeral Home became Wieting Funeral Home, Inc. when Merlin "Fuzzy" Wieting, Jr. joined the family business. In 1985, the Reedsville Co-op Funeral Home was purchased by the Wieting's. Previously,
the Co-op Funeral Home was opened in 1939.
In 1994, Merlin Sr. passed away. This lead to the corporation known as Wieting Funeral Home, Incorporated to be restructured into two separate corporations; Wieting Funeral Homes, Inc., owned by Merlin “Fuzzy” Wieting, Jr. and Wieting Funeral Home of Chilton.
This now meant that in 1995, Fuzzy Wieting solely owned and operated both
the Brillion and Reedsville funeral homes.
In September of 2020, Sarah & Jason Pielhop purchased Wieting Funeral Home, Inc. They changed the name but not the commitment to the communities of Brillion & Reedsville,
and the surrounding areas.
